The student's portion of the National Center for Education
Statistics, an agency of the US government. The site contains data
about American education, areas to build graphs, surveys to complete,
and other statistics-related activities.

Information from the US Census, including some historical
information. Check the site yourself before sending students-there's
a lot of data here! There is a section
for students.

World Factbook
Information about countries around the world. Select a country and
view data about, among other things, literacy rates, number of radios
per capita, average income, and more.

Monster
One of many almanacs for kids. This one, presented by Lycos, includes
data about sports, kids' allowances, natural disasters, and other
topics of interest. Some data are presented in tables, others can be
pulled from text. The site includes advertising.
