for children with special needs.  The Council advocates for children with special needs and performs

in an advisory and collaborative role to the Wayland School Committee relative to special education

issues.  SEPAC sponsors general open meetings to educate and inform parents about topics that affect

them and their children.  If you would like more information about SEPAC or to join and have your

The purpose of SEPAC is to act as liaison among the school, parents, and the community in general. The Council advocates for children with special needs and performs in an advisory role relative to special education issues. All parents of Wayland children with special needs are welcomed to join SEPAC. Special education regulations in Massachusetts require each community to establish a parent advisory council to advise the administration and school committee about special education matters and work collaboratively with the school system to provide programs of interest and benefit to parents of children with special needs. SEPAC sponsors informal gatherings and more formal meetings to educate and inform parents about issues and topics which affect them and their children. Meetings, held monthly during the school year, are open to all interested parties. Join us!

The current officers and project coordinators are:

           President:  Bonnie Johnsen

           Vice-President:  Laura Malnight

           Treasurer:  Susan Dayno

           Secretary:  Beth Olney
