The Creative Arts Parent Association (CAPA)

Creative Arts Parent Association (CAPA)

CAPA supports and promotes visual arts, music, drama and dance at Wayland High School. Here’s a quick look at what we do:

  • Fund competitions, festivals and workshops for our students and arts faculty
  • Support and help finance special clinics and master classes
  • Buy supplies and materials requested by the arts faculty
  • Honor students with Fine Arts jackets and achievement awards
  • Sponsor Fine Arts Night in June to showcase students’ outstanding work in the Arts at WHS.

Last year we also provided theatrical lighting for the renovated L1 Black Box Theater and supported the jazz ensemble’s trip to New Orleans.

As funding has become tighter and costs have risen, the arts faculty has come to depend on CAPA to help make special programs possible, enriching students’ experience at Wayland High School.

We look forward to another successful year of Arts in the school and hope you will join us!
