Google Apps - Introduction
An introduction to using Gmail, Calendar, and Google Documents. Basic skills for online communication and collaboration, along with basic application functionality will be presented.

Requirements:  Google Account

Google Apps - Advanced
Advanced Concepts in using Google Documents will be covered including; Text, Spreadsheets, Presentations, and Drawing; Advanced Collaboration Techniques, Downloading and Uploading Files; Publishing files to the Web; and an introduction to other Apps such as Picnik and Picasa.

Requirements: Google Account and experience with GMail and Calendar

IWB - Interactive Whiteboards and Interactive Clickers
This session will cover the use of ActiveInspire for both Promethean and ENO style IWBs. Teacher resources for creating and sharing lessons will be introduced.
Requirements: Laptop with ActiveInspire License activated.

IWB - Interactive Whiteboards and Interactive Clickers
This session will cover the use of ActiveInspire for both Promethean and ENO style IWBs. Teacher resources for creating and sharing lessons will be introduced. Additionally, teachers will learn how to use ActiveExpression to collect immediate assessment feedback from students to drive instruction in the classroom.
Requirements: Laptop with ActiveInspire License activated.

its learning - Introduction
This session will introduce new teachers to the latest instructional methods for teaching online and creating master courses for use with students in the its learning LMS. A general introduction to tools for course design and common functionality for online teaching and student-teacher collaboration will be introduced.
Requirements: its learning login/account.

its learning - Advanced
This session will explore communication and collaboration methods such as Podcasts, Video casts, Web 2.0 usage in discussions, blogs, Wiki’s, ePortfolios and how they can improve student engagement within the its learning online learning resource. Attendees will gain ideas on how to improve education outcomes through the effective integration of its learning resources.

iPads & eBooks - Introduction
Learn basic iPad settings, navigation, itunes and synching, downloading apps, mail and multitasking skills. Learn how to find and synch eBook apps.
Requirements: iPad


iPads & eBooks - Advanced
Learn how to find eBook apps and how to integrate them into the classroom. Explore Bookshare and other online eBook resources for students. Disucss the differences and use of these resources in the classroom.
